This week, I'm aiming for a world record: Shortest Article on Reusing Old Things. Now is that original, or what? The point is that I'm going to make this short and sweet.

Bottle caps are useful. Bottle caps get thrown away. Bottle caps should be reused. If you had trouble keeping up, I suggest you go back to the beginning and try again.

Tipsy Toy Tower

Collect as many as you can and see how high you can stack them. It seems easy at first, but one wrong move and you've got a bottle cap avalanche! Get a group of friends and see who can make the tallest pile. It's great for vacations, parties, or when you're just bored!

Collectible Caps

Cut a circle of construction paper just the size of the bottle cap. Decorate the circle using marker, pencil, pen - whatever works for you. Then glue the circle onto the bottle cap. You can make all sorts of themes - storybook characters, flower species, even song titles! Start a collection and trade with friends.

Cute Cap Castanets

Fill a cap about halfway with something noisy. You can use beads, bits of tin foil, or something that would normally get thrown away (you get extra points for this one, because you're helping the Earth twice as much!). Put another cap, face down, on top of the first. Secure the two using tape, and decorate with paint, colored tape, stickers, and anything else you can think of. You can put the castanets on a string, then tie the other end to something that moves. Use it as a door alarm, a wind chime, or a way of letting people know when you enter the room!

Credit for this week's idea goes to Fiona27. If you want to see your idea in my next article, y-mail me! The winner will get a free face part from the store Scavenger's at Akbar's Face Mall.
