What's Going On In Whyville

Jebus77
Guest Writer

Jebus77 here and I have some questions to ask City Hall. No, they're not like complaints or anything like that, they are questions that citizens on Whyville would like to know the answers to.

1. Is it true that when you get a plot your Salary goes up?

City Hall: Nope, this is not true. I'm not sure where you heard that one -- it's never been true, actually.

2. How much does it cost to get your own shop?

City Hall: It doesn't cost to start a shop, but it does to create products and to have it in the mall listings. You can find out the details at Akbar's Face Factory.

3. Is Whyville getting any new games?

City Hall: Definitely! We have many new games and activites in mind for Whyville. There's something coming up right around Valentine's Day. Keep your eyes peeled!

4. How do you become a writer for the Whyville Times?

City Hall: Just write to the Times Editor -- and don't forget, he's not me and I'm not him! Send in your articles to times\@whyville.net and the staff at the Times will consider your work for publication. Not everything gets published, and even great articles sometimes have to wait for months before getting published, so be patient. After the Times publishes three or four of your articles, they'll consider making you an official Times Writer.

5. And last but not least... I read an article in the Times and a writer asked you when we were going to get some more plots... City Hall replied, "What would you rather have, parties or more plots?" I took a tally with people I know and all of them said they would rather have more plots, so I was wondering if we were going to get more plots anytime soon? And is it true that if you come on Whyville and get to the land office at 9 o'clock you can get plots?

City Hall: We are definitely working on more plots. In fact, we are working on making a whole new Myville that allows citizens to develop land themselves. That way, plots will get developed much more quickly. This is a highly complex project, and that's why it's been taking so long, but it is one of our very top priorities for this year. Please bear with us. And it is true, if you visit Bob at the Land Office at 9 am on Saturday, you MAY be able to get a plot. 9 am Saturday is when we evict people who haven't visited Whyville for 10 or more weeks, so that is when some plots, about 20, become available every week to lucky citizens who get there at just the right time. Good luck!

This is Jebus77, signing off... bye.
