My dad went on the Atkins diet about a year ago, after his friend lost over
100 pounds on the program. My dad's lost a bunch of weight as well.
To be honest, the diet does help people to lose weight. But is it really the
best way to go about losing weight? More importantly, is it the healthiest way?
It seems to me that unless the person going on the diet is extremely overweight,
the Atkins diet is just for vanity. People choose to go on it because it works
quite fast. However, for people who really need to lose the weight, it doesn't
seem very healthy.
