Citizen Profile: Britmaria

BabyPowdr looks back and sees remembers the good stuff.

We all wanted to be her. She was by far the prettiest, nicest, coolest girl on Whyville. There is no Denying this. Britmaria was THE queen of Whyville.

BabyPowdr here, telling you about the girl that we wanted to be.

Britmaria had her cherished place in the Whyville Square. It's long gone now -- it used to be right next to the CAPSI house. Wait, you want to know what's a CAPSI house? It was the place for educators and teachers to go on Whyville. (Editor's Note: CAPSI stands for CAltech's Pre-college Science Initiative, a group that was involved in the early years of Whyville.) It's now the building that hosts Club Y and the Newbie Centre. The other spot that Britmaria preferred was on other side of the Square, beside Dr Leila's, but usually Charity held down that spot.

Britmaria was blonde with purple eyes, a Charity-flowered top, pointy nose, and glossy lips. She was Hip. read more...

I'm Not Allowed to Buy a Why-Pass

Dancer153 hopes for some answers about the Pass.

Why-Passes. They make our community grow and they are desperately needed. I want Whyville to grow in every way possible, but I just don't think I can do it through a Why-Pass.

I know some of you may be thinking, "Oh, she's so unkind," but I really want to help and I know many others in my situation, too. Below you'll find some reasons that we just can't. Maybe some of our questions can be cleared up, and we'll be able to buy?!

Q. I would love a lifetime Why-Pass. All the great deals and awesome new things I would be able to do, but I'm Canadian and don't have American money. Can I pay $20 Canadian? Or do have to pay American in Canadian? (By paying approximately 25 cents more for every $1.00.)
A. Yes, we need you to pay $20 American. You can pay in Canadian, and yes, $20 U.S. is more than $20 Canadian -- but that's because what you give us, no matter what country it's from, is worth exactly $20 U.S. to us, and we have to pay our bills in American money.

Q. My parents don't want to give their credit card number out on the Internet. Is there another way I can pay?
A. Absolutely!!! read more...
