Senate Race Winner

Who's the new Whyville Senator???

This past week, Whyvillians selected our community's latest senator! More than 14,000 votes were counted, making this one of our largest elections ever. Way to get the vote out!

The winner in an incredibly tight race is... PUNKnPIE!

Voting was hosted on the Welcome Page for a long week, in which more than 60,000 votes were cast -- oops, you can only vote once! The City Workers will add instructions that make this clear for the next Senate Race.

As for this election, the votes came out like this:

  • PUNKnPIE - 5,329
  • babygrace - 4,799
  • biddygurl - 4,177

In her platform, PUNKnPIE emphasized higher quality tools in Akbar's Face Factory and the Mall, which she said would lead to better face parts for everyone. Her focus was not solely on Akbar's, however; read more...

Sw33t3r4u told a story in Harikiwi's article, "Just How Safe Are You?" about how she once gave out too much information on the internet, which landed her in a very bad situation. Here's a story of my own experiences with the dangers of giving out info to strangers.

I was in fifth grade, and one of my friends, who we'll call Amanda, loved to surf the AIM chat rooms. That wasn't something I was into; just chatting with my friends was good enough for me.
