Stereotypes

Honeybbz9 talks to Whyvillians about stereotypes of their countries.

Stereotype: A widely held but fixed and oversimplified image, or idea of a particular type of person or thing.

Whether it's all Americans are overweight, or all British people have bad teeth, every country, culture or religion has it's own stereotype. People have different views on stereotypes in general, some find them offensive and others just laugh it off. I'm from England and am aware of what people think of England. Some of our well known stereotypes are that we all have bad teeth, we love tea, we all live in castles and we are all obsessed with the Queen and the royal family. I'm not offended by any of these stereotypes although a lot of others might be. I interviewed a couple of Whyvillians from different countries, to find out their opinions on stereotypes.

Xoxkitkat gets the scoop on a new Broadway show.

My family and I recently took the long flight over to southern California for a fun-filled vacation, determined to hit all the "must-sees". Of course, my favorite part of the trip was, hands down, three days in paradise at the ever so amazing Disneyland Resort. Memories like passing out on Space Mountain and a first aid station visit from Mickey and Minnie made stories to tell, but I'd have to say a stunning stage show of "Aladdin" definitely defined my experience. The whole performance was pure magic. I loved it so much that I went home and obsessively started looking up everything about it. My favorite find? Aladdin and his magic carpet are flying over to Broadway for a brand new musical to hit the stage this spring!
