Animal Showdown: Alligators vs Crocodiles

Jelloroks ponders which is scarier, 'gators or croc's.

Alligators and crocodiles. Which is the superior reptile? Who would win in a wrestling match? Which should you run away from? In this first installment of a new series "Animal Showdown", I research two reptiles, the alligator and the crocodile.

Although you may think alligators and crocodiles are pretty much the same, both being part of the Crocodylia order, there are key differences that make each animal unique. For one, the alligator is part of the Alligatoridae family, and the crocodile is part of the Crocodylidae family. And that's all there is to it, right? Wrong!

I Really Like You

For this project we had to choose a famous artist and take inspiration from their work. I chose the inspiration of Alphonse Mucha, an artist would illustrate posters for plays and have the actress as the main focus of the piece. In the past the focus of artwork had been on scenes from the Bible and such, and now suddenly celebrities were getting raised up to the same level as Gods, especially with Mucha illustrating them with the halo (circle) behind their heads.

I decided to do my own spin on it based off of Carly Rae Jepsen's new music video for "I Really Like You". It got a lot of publicity really fast because of who all was in the video. The focus on the music starts to get lost and it's just this obsession with the people themselves. So . . . I made some super insane fan art.
